Purpose of Role The Finance - Product Control Intern supports daily financial reporting through the preparation of P&L statements and balance sheet files, while assisting with general accounting tasks such as accounts receivable and payable. It ensures accuracy of financial data, contributes to capital accounting processes, and supports month‑end and quarter‑end reporting. By collaborating with the finance team to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies, the role helps maintain strong financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting is preferred but Computer Science, Economics, Finance, and Mathematics are accepted.
  • Genuine interest in one or more of the program’s departmental tracks.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship, including, but not limited to, F-1, J-1, and M-1 visa holders, as well as individuals on CPT or OPT.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily Profit & Loss (P&L) reports and balance sheet files.
  • Assist with general accounting tasks, including accounts receivable and payable.
  • Support capital accounting and related financial processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data entries.
  • Collaborate with finance team to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Contribute to month-end and quarter-end reporting activities.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
  • At all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct.
  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
  • To escalate risk events immediately.
  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.
  • The Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time.
