About The Position

The company, founded in 2019, specializes in building profitable startups from scratch, aiming to automate company building through an engineering approach rooted in algorithms and data. They have successfully launched ten high-growth companies, generating over $200M in revenue. The ultimate goal is to create a system that can launch profitable companies at the push of a button, which can then reinvest resources to become large enterprises. The Finance Operator, Data role is central to this mission, focusing on building the financial data infrastructure for all portfolio companies. This is a finance-first position requiring a deep understanding of business financials, P&L statements, and the ability to discern correct financial numbers. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical capabilities in SQL, data modeling, transformations, automation, and reporting infrastructure. The role involves building reliable and scalable financial outputs and eventually communicating these insights to key stakeholders. In the initial 6 months, the focus will be heavily on infrastructure development, systematizing currently manual processes, automating data pulls, and building logic for edge cases. While data-focused, the position demands generalist financial acumen, driver-based instincts, multi-company fluency, and the ability to operate independently at a high level within the finance function. It is not a narrow technical role or a data engineering position, but rather a finance role with a strong technical differentiator.
