About The Position

An Automotive Finance Manager (F&I Manager) manages the financing and insurance (F&I) process for vehicle sales, acting as a liaison between customers, sales teams, and lenders to secure loans, sell add-ons (warranties, protection plans), and handle all related paperwork while ensuring regulatory compliance and maximizing dealership profitability. Key duties include credit interviews, building lender relationships, training salespeople on F&I products, processing contracts, and adhering to federal/state laws like the Fair Credit Reporting Act .

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers to discuss financing, explain terms, and present extended warranties, GAP insurance, and other F&I products.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure competitive rates and financing options.
  • Train the sales team on F&I programs, help close deals, and work with sales managers to "re-hash" deals that need financing solutions.
  • Prepare and review all finance contracts, ensure accuracy, maintain customer confidentiality, and ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Drive dealership revenue by successfully selling high-profit F&I products and meeting monthly goals.
  • Perform credit interviews, assess customer creditworthiness, and ensure ethical business practices.
