About The Position

This position manages all financial functions for Kearfott Corporation, for the respective division assigned to. Responsible for gathering and compiling the Company’s sales forecasting, reporting, and control data. Guide, direct, and instruct subordinates as needed to improve performance and provide timely information to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and a minimum of five years of manufacturing accounting experience required.
  • ERP experience required; IFS preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, is a must.
  • Minimum of five years of people management experience
  • Working and collaborating with other functions and departments.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves
  • Ability to follow through until the tasks are complete
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Ability to research, compile, analyze, and interpret data in an ERP environment
  • Deadline-oriented, good time management, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Supervises cost accounting and general accounting functions.
  • Prepares closing entries and closing of books each fiscal month, prepares financial statements, and analyzes monthly financials.
  • Initiates monthly cycle counting of inventory stockrooms and work-in-progress.
  • Supports year-end financial audit and periodic bank audits.
  • Provides documentation for Government audits of direct and indirect rates.
  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Manage and monitor aging receivables and accounts payable.
  • Analyzes inventory accounting data; creates monthly inventory reconciliation.
  • Supports development of budgets/forecasts.
  • Works on special projects as required.
  • Supports and assists internal department reporting requirements, such as audit schedules
  • Tracks budget for capital assets, assists with approvals of capital appropriations, reports data to the home office, reconciles assets with the home office, and ensures assets are tagged.
  • Provides ad-hoc reports as required.
