We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, ensuring accuracy, and supporting a meaningful mission. What You'll Do: As Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in day-to-day finance operations, supporting accurate financial reporting, donation processing, and compliance. You’ll work closely with the CFO, Philanthropy team, and other departments to ensure financial information is complete, timely, and reliable. Your work will blend hands-on accounting, donor support, and cross-department collaboration to help keep the organization running smoothly.

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, along with at least 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Strong experience with databases; familiarity with Blackbaud (Raiser’s Edge) is a big plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills—you’re just as comfortable talking to a donor as you are reviewing a spreadsheet.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accurate entry and processing of donations from our generous supporters.
  • Monitor and track restricted and unrestricted revenue for proper compliance and reporting.
  • Respond to donor inquiries with professionalism, clarity, and a customer-service mindset.
  • Partner with the Philanthropy team to ensure proper gift coding; assist with corrections and documentation as needed.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in compiling financial reports for department leaders, Philanthropy staff, and executive leadership.
  • Support annual audit activities and 990 preparations by gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process.
  • Document finance procedures and assist with training team members on established processes.
  • Supervise: Donor Relations Specialist & Finance and Pack Members Services Coordinator.
  • Process payroll once timesheets have been approved by Human Resources.
