About The Position

Position Summary Position is responsible for leading a team of employees, either directly or indirectly. Position is responsible for training and developing others. Incumbent will generally understand business item usage (budgets, ROI, margins, markets, customers, competitors, business forecasts, legal items, etc.) for RU/BU. Interprets and implements objectives and assigns specific actions applying to immediate area. Position works within management direction. Position can also be a manager of processes and projects without direct reports. Economic Value co-champion with operational lead. The position is responsible for the day to day quoting, costing, and analysis activities within the Finance Department. Provides exposure to all aspects of the business including financial performance measurement, cost reduction initiatives, and strategic planning. This individual will contribute to the development and implementation of site safety and health goals, objectives, rules and procedures. He/she will actively participate in the Global Star Safety Framework (GSSF) program, as well as, follow all EHS rules, procedures and policies. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • Manufacturing accounting experience
  • 10+ years manufacturing experience
  • Prior experience with SAP and/or HFM/Hyperion

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred
  • CPA or CMA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze individual product lines for contribution margin/profitability improvement opportunities.
  • Standard Costing and New Business Quoting
  • Oversee all fixed asset accounting and provides significant support of the monthly close and forecast processes, as well as the annual budgeting cycle.
  • Communicate product line financial performance to product line leaders/plant management and assist in driving improvements.
  • Work with purchasing, manufacturing engineering, and product line leaders to understand manufacturing processes and associated costs.
  • Use all means available to support the Plant's mission for consistent improvement in quality, cost, delivery, and service through consistent participation in cross-functional teams, financial analysis, and communication.
  • Apply financial modeling software to aid in the financial analysis of new business investments. Analysis will include utilizing a variety of resource allocation tools such as Discounted Cash Flow, Economic Value, and Net Present Value.
  • Insure all Corporate, Division, and Plant policies and procedures are communicated and followed.
  • Assist the Controller with preparation of annual operating budget, monthly financial forecasts, and period end reporting of actual results.

  • Utilize financial modeling tools to assess new investment opportunities
  • Assist with monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and financial reporting
  • Design and Implement Financial Operating Procedures
