About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Finance Manager to lead and manage the financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting process. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s strategic goals by ensuring financial stability, overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of additional work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience: 5+ years of related finance experience
  • Must have some program finance experience including financial analysis and reporting
  • Security clearance level: Must be able to obtain & maintain a TS/SCI with POLY
  • US citizenship required

  • Preferred technical requirements: Utilize Oracle Financials, Hyperion/OAS, Minerva, SETRIS, SC360, Salesforce, or Unanet
  • Preferred experience: government contracting experience; previous people management experience
  • Hybrid work location in Annapolis Junction, MD with the expectation of working in the office a minimum of three (3) days per week

Responsibilities

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for a business area covering one major program and several smaller programs.
  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Monitor cash flow, financial risk, profitability, and expenditure.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and reports.
  • Lead variance analysis to ensure financial goals are met and exceeded.
  • Present financial performance and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and oversee internal controls to minimize financial risk.
  • Work closely with external auditors and tax consultants for reviews and filings.
  • Manage and mentor 5 Financial Analysts on the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and tools.
  • Implement next-gen Financial analysis tools, including: Minerva, Power BI, AI, and Knime to drive accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support organizational goals.
