About The Position

Requirements

• Exceptional written (correspondence, spelling, grammar) and verbal communications skills
• Intermediate computer skills and database knowledge
• Independent worker who is willing to take on a variety of projects
• Requires extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices as they relate to nonprofit organizations.
• Personable, pleasant, cheerful with excellent telephone skills
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in business administration, finance, accounting or closely related field is highly desirable.
• At least five years of increasingly responsible experience in financial management or accounting, preferably with a non-profit or public agency.
• Travel may be necessary, both by car and by air, including absences from home for one or more nights.
• Travel may be on the employee's or employer's time, or both.
• Working nights, weekends or holidays may occasionally be required/necessary.
• Mark Twain Health Care District (MTHCD) has a policy of "employment at will."
• Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment background check and drug test.
