We are seeking a Finance Manager – Operations to be responsible for overseeing key financial operations across a multi-jurisdictional group, covering international payroll, accounts payable, cash flow management, tax compliance, insurance, and intercompany recharges. This role ensures strong financial control, compliance with local regulations across 18+ jurisdictions, and accurate financial reporting to support the wider group.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 5 years plus PQE.
  • Proven experience managing international payroll across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong experience in accounts payable, cash flow forecasting, and intercompany accounting.
  • Solid knowledge of VAT in a multi-entity, multi-country environment.
  • Experience managing audits and responding to audit queries.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a multinational or group environment.
  • Familiarity with payroll providers, ERP systems, and expense management tools.
  • Experience with insurance renewals and broker management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage international payroll operations across 18+ jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local employment and tax regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee staff credit card programmes, expense claims, staff travel bookings and all travel-related spend, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable function across 20+ entities, including invoice processing, payment runs, supplier reconciliations, and query resolution.
  • Manage Fixed Asset registers and related accounting records;
  • Ensure robust controls are in place to maintain accuracy and prevent fraud.
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency within the AP process.
  • Manage and project daily cash flow across the group, ensuring adequate liquidity at all times.
  • Prepare short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts and highlight risks or opportunities to senior management.
  • Support treasury activities, including banking relationships and payment scheduling.
  • Manage all intercompany recharges, both internal within the group and externally to the wider group.
  • Ensure intercompany transactions are accurately calculated, documented, and recorded in line with transfer pricing and accounting policies.
  • Resolve intercompany balances and discrepancies on a timely basis.
  • Manage VAT compliance for the group, including registrations, filings, reconciliations, and liaison with external advisors.
  • Oversee the annual renewal of all group insurance policies, coordinating with brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Manage and respond to all audit queries relating to the remit of the role, including payroll, AP, VAT, cash flow, and intercompany activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and explanations as required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Operations, and Finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage and develop team members within the remit of the role, providing guidance and support as required.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, ad hoc projects and implementation of best practices to ensure the finance team is consistently pushing the boundaries in terms of efficiency and accuracy
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to the wider business.
  • Participate in ad hoc global projects as required
