The Finance Manager – Logistics is the primary day-to-day finance partner for Supply Chain Logistics, responsible for executing core logistics finance routines (forecasting, close, reporting, and analytics) across Transportation and Distribution/Warehousing (including 3PL-supported operations). This role provides timely, decision-useful insights, ensures disciplined financial governance and calendar management, and enables the Associate Director to focus on strategic planning, transformation, and senior stakeholder partnership.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a Finance/Business-Related + 2 or more years of work related experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance/Business-Related field + 4 or more years of related work experience
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving, decision making, and communication skills and detail orientation
  • Advanced PC skills with an emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • ERP and Financial Systems Expertise

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Finance/Business-Related field + 5 or more years of related work experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Business-Related field + 8 or more years of related work experience
  • Experience in logistics, manufacturing or supply chain finance, including cost management, operational finance, and multi-site support
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, Tableau or similar data analysis & visualization tools
  • Prior CPG or food industry experience
  • Experience in a multinational or multi-entity environment
  • Six Sigma, LEAN or similar process improvement methodology certifications

Responsibilities

  • Own the logistics finance calendar, including monthly close, forecasts, KPIs, and operating review inputs.
  • Lead logistics month‑end close, ensuring accurate accruals, variance analysis, and compliance with accounting policies and controls.
  • Manage logistics forecasts and budgets, maintaining key cost drivers and tracking risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver standard logistics finance reporting, including cost‑to‑serve, productivity KPIs, service metrics, and spend governance dashboards.
  • Analyze transportation cost drivers (linehaul, fuel, accessorials, brokerage, intermodal) and deliver insights to improve carrier performance and reduce costs
  • Analyze distribution and warehousing cost drivers (labor, space/utilities, material handling equipment, supplies), including productivity and utilization reporting, and partner with operations to drive action
  • Evaluate logistics initiatives and changes (network redesigns, carrier or mode changes, 3PL transitions) through financial modeling, ROI/NPV analysis, and implementation tracking
  • Ensure adherence to logistics financial controls and standard work, including accrual discipline, approval workflows, segregation of duties, and audit readiness; proactively identify and address control gaps.
  • Lead process improvements and automation for recurring logistics finance activities (e.g., close templates, forecast drivers, and reporting), leveraging Excel and BI tools to increase efficiency and analytical insight.
  • Partner with the Associate Director to develop operating review materials, executive‑ready narratives, and ad hoc analyses that support strategic initiatives and logistics transformation.
  • As applicable, coach and develop analyst(s) through clear objectives, routine feedback, and training on logistics finance routines, business partnering, and analytical skill-building.
