About The Position

The Amazon Advertising Finance team seeks a Finance Manager to collaborate with the Advertising business to drive performant, relevant and engaging creative experiences across Amazon Ads portfolio. This role serves as a senior finance leader for the Advertising Creative org, supporting critical initiatives for Display and Streaming TV ad formats, including Interactive Video Ads and Creative Personalization. The role will be partnering with senior product, engineering, science, and Sales leaders to support this initiative and drive growth. The candidate will influence product and monetization strategy of creative capabilities within the broader Amazon Ads portfolio. This position will collaborate with senior business leaders across teams to explore growth opportunities, to shape growth strategies and goals to maximize revenue, and to evaluate financial impacts to support decision-making. The individual will need to blend technical product knowledge, business acumen and ability to dive deep to deliver clear, actionable analyses that shape cross-organizational plans and priorities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
  • 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a finance leader for the Creative product and engineering leaders on strategic initiatives, leading planning, business modeling, and financial analysis
  • Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including data gathering and analysis, problem solving, and clear communication of insights and recommendations
  • Identify and create business metrics to understand the operational and financial health of the business and drive improvement, including breaking down advertiser segments into demand inputs and supply-based metrics
  • Ability to influence without authority across multiple orgs and functions across geographies
