Legend Biotech is seeking Finance IT Program/Project Manager (Contractor) as part of the IT team based in Somerset, NJ. Role Overview The Finance IT Program/Project Manager Consultant role at Legend Biotech is a hands-on, technically proficient individual contributor role responsible for the end-to-end Program ownership including planning, scheduling and tracking the execution of enterprise applications supporting Finance and Indirect Procurement. Reporting to Lead, Corporate Systems, this role enables program and project delivery with strategic system planning, managing project execution working cross-functionally with functional teams, enterprise architects, security, vendor implementation partners, and auditors. In addition to strong program execution, the role is expected to actively support and guide business activities throughout the project lifecycle, including solution design decisions, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), change management, and data migration efforts. The ideal candidate brings in a Finance domain background (FP&A, Close, Reporting) combined with deep program and project management expertise, enabling them to guide business stakeholders on process design, operational decisions, and required business activities, while ensuring disciplined delivery, risk management, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project Management Professional or Agile Certification is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in program & project management, preferably supporting finance divisions in Pharmaceuticals, Biotech or similar industries.
  • Demonstrated experience with multiple enterprise systems in Finance and Procurement environments.
  • Experience in executing successful implementations using SAP S4/HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Ariba or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with Finance platforms like Anaplan is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding Finance processes such as Finance Planning, Management & External Reporting, Capex Planning, Monthly Close Process, Reporting and Data Analytics.
  • Experience with system compliance activities including SOX, GxP, and audit-readiness.
  • Experience working with SaaS vendors and managing issue resolution through ticketing systems.
  • Work in a matrixed team for project execution and delivery.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including external service providers and JV partners.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and produce high quality work and artifacts in preparation and presentation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and coordination skills to interact with users, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional or Agile Certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Finance platforms like Anaplan is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the program and project manager for Finance and Indirect Procurement Systems including but not limited to SAP S4/HANA, Anaplan, SAP Ariba and industry leading products enabling these functions.
  • Drive and Support business-led activities during these projects, including process and design decisions, UAT planning & execution, change Management and data migration activities, ensuring business readiness and adoption.
  • Lead end to end program and project management activities from Planning, execution, tracking, collaborating, reporting status and delivering successful technology implementations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business, Vendor and IT stakeholders in execution of strategic system solutions in a fast-paced agile delivery model.
  • Facilitate integrations between Finance systems and third-party or internal applications like SAP, AD, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain required project governance artifacts, approvals, reports and presentations as required for the delivery of successful project implementations till go-live.
  • Support SOX, GxP, and audit-related activities by maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance of system processes.
  • Prepare and deliver periodic project status reports to IT and Business stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, key decisions, and next steps.
