About The Position

The Finance Intern will work closely with the finance team to support a variety of accounting and financial functions, including budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience in corporate finance and offers a strong foundation for a future career in finance or accounting. The role includes exposure to Accounts Payable support, month-end close activities, financial reporting, and opportunities to identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and add value to the organization.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong academic performance with coursework in financial accounting and reporting
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial data confidentially
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong desire to learn and contribute in a professional setting

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or ERP systems) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare entry-level month-end journal entries under supervision
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
  • Assist Accounts Payable (AO) with electronic filing and document management
  • Assist in maintaining internal controls and documentation for audits
  • Analyze financial data for trends and variances
  • Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of financial policies and procedures
  • Participate in audits and regulatory compliance activities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementation initiatives
  • Provide support for ad hoc financial projects and analysis
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
