About The Position

Responsible for producing revenue for the dealership by selling financing options and warranties to new and used truck customers. Assists the sales team with closing truck deals where financing is involved. Manages relationships with lenders, vendors, and outside affiliated businesses. Handles all paperwork, funding, and legal issues to ensure contract cash receipt and resolves any post-delivery issues.

Responsibilities

  • Sell financing options and OEM or aftermarket warranty options to retail customers.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with 20+ lenders.
  • Communicate with customers to obtain all necessary information to submit finance applications, including personal credit history, proof of income, business details, etc.
  • Review applications, investigate inconsistencies, and ensure accuracy in all details submitted to lenders.
  • Organize and submit credit and supporting documentation to appropriate lender(s) depending on dynamics of each individual deal.
  • Monitor credit approval process, follow-through with missing information, ensure deals are not being rejected based on misinformation, and negotiate approval terms.
  • Prepare and present financing terms, rates, options, and scenarios to customers with or without the assistance or involvement of salesperson.
  • Prepare contracts and documentation necessary to contract and fund deal. Review for accuracy, resolve issues, and assist sales team with preparation and execution of all legal documents for truck purchase.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to ensure proper insurance is in place for customer to operate vehicle and for dealership to meet lender requirements for funding.
  • Compile funding packages and submit to lenders in an accurate and timely manner. Resolve issues that arise in funding, ensure all are resolve and cash is received by dealership within 3 days.
  • Participate in sales management meetings with sales team and General Managers to be aware of working deals. Identify and follow-through on financing opportunities pending or potentially working.
  • Engage and coach sales team as necessary on selling financing or warranties, and act as a backup for sales team on each deal (assist with delivery of trucks, signing of paperwork, follow-up items, etc).
  • Forecast penetration, income, and profitability objectives for management. Meet monthly objectives.
  • Maintain monthly income and performance log, as well as electronic customer files.
