About The Position

The Finance Enterprise Partner - CMO oversees the financial health and cost-efficiency of the Commercial Marketing Organization (CMO). Serving as a strategic partner to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role bridges financial rigor with operational reality to optimize resource allocation and drive sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 6-12 years of progressive finance experience, ideally in Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of pharma revenue mechanics (pricing, gross-to-net) and matrix environments.
  • Skills: Advanced financial modeling, executive-level communication, and strategic business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership & Decision Support:
  • Thought Partner: Advise the CMO on investment prioritization and trade-offs.
  • Performance Liaison: Connect marketing analytics to financial outcomes, providing actionable insights for strategic decisions.
  • ROI Analysis: Evaluate investment returns and provide recommendations that balance short-term commitments with long-term value.
  • PR Support: Support Public Relations structure (20% time) to align strategies and investments to portfolio prioritization.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
  • Planning: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the function.
  • Performance Management: Monitor plan vs. actuals; identify risks and opportunities early.
  • Reporting: Oversee month-end reliability and prepare executive-level reporting on performance and compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Integration:
  • Connector: Facilitate alignment between the CMO organization, Squad Finance (FEPs), and global counterparts.
  • Transparency: Act as the "single source of truth" for functional financial performance and data sharing.
  • Stakeholder & Leadership:
  • Stakeholders: High-frequency engagement with the CMO, executive leadership, and cross-functional squads.
  • Influence: Must drive results and financial discipline across the matrix without direct authority.
  • Mindset: Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments.
