About The Position

The Finance Director- Other Entities (FDOE) serves under the Executive Pastor on the Central Support Team. The FDOE handles all of the finances and management for all other entities associated with Liquid. This includes the Clean Water Cafe LLC, Pletho.org [http://pletho.org], 299 Webro Road Condominium Association, and other future entities. In addition, this position handles special projects and campus expansion finances. A part time position, the schedule is generally Monday-Friday for a total of 24 hours per week. This position is Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Requirements

  • Education - A Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience of 7+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company
  • Knowledge - Thorough knowledge of accounting, accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience - Creating financial statements, with general ledger functions and the month end/year end close process.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills - Tech savvy. Experience with Sage Intacct and Martus is a plus.
  • Organization – ability to handle multiple responsibilities; manage information; and develop ongoing systems.
  • Relational Ability – Being able to positively interact with multiple types of people in a variety of settings will be a key ingredient of success.

Responsibilities

  • Finance Oversight for other entities systems, ensuring that financial plans are consistent with Liquid’s goals
  • Accounting System management with internal controls, including income, payables and payment processing, banking/cash, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Financial Reporting, including
  • Developing and monitoring budget results
  • Annual audit
  • Documentation and reporting of the system
  • Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial reports for the Executive Pastor
  • Clean Water Cafe (CWC) Supervision and Accounting
  • Oversee CWC operations, purchasing, and profitability
  • Maintain costing system
  • Managing monthly inventory counting process
  • Daily and monthly reconciliation of revenue
  • Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial reports for Executive Pastor
  • Develop a path to profitability
  • External Relationships- Interface with and provide information for outside audit firms, banks, insurance agent(s) and credit card companies.
  • Tax management
  • Handle 990s for Liquid and other entities
  • Provide tax advice for Liquid assets and entities
  • Special Projects -
  • Handle all accounting for special projects, including campus expansion
  • Coordinate grants and security grants accounting
  • Support Budget process, for both the initial development and ongoing monitoring
