Position Summary: The SPS Commerce Finance team is hiring a Finance Data & Analytics Intern to support FP&A initiatives focused on reporting, metrics, and data-driven insights. In this role, you’ll work with financial and operational data to improve visibility, accuracy, and how information is used to support decision-making across the organization. This internship is designed for students interested in analytics, reporting, and business insights. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, contribute to real projects, and gain hands-on experience working with data in a growing SaaS organization.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related business field
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
• Availability to work 40 hours per week during the internship
• Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a permanent, unrestricted basis. The company does not sponsor employment visas for this role, now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Major or coursework in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, MIS, or a related field
• Students entering their final year of study (“rising seniors”)
• Interest in working with data, metrics, and reporting
• Experience with Excel and data analysis tools; exposure to Power BI is a plus
• Comfort working with datasets and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Support data validation efforts across global reporting, marketing initiatives, and book-of-business reporting
• Help build and enhance metrics and dashboards that bring performance data to life for Finance and leadership teams
• Assist in developing automated reporting and measurement tools, including HR and workforce-related metrics
• Work with large datasets to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs and data definitions
• Present insights or project outcomes to Finance and SPS leadership
