About The Position

As the Financial Coordinator, you will provide assistance and support to the Head of Finance with the execution of finance responsibilities. You will run payroll and administer benefits to the entire employee base. You will also work closely with our Administrative, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure the success of both long-term projects and day-to-day operations. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and an analytical mindset. The right candidate will have proven ability to synthesize information, display sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Possesses a Bachelor’s degree
  • Has a minimum of 4 years of experience in finance and accounting
  • A strong knack for solving complex puzzles
  • An analytically-minded person with strong mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A Microsoft Excel wizard
  • Eager to learn and innovate, contributing at a high-performing level
  • Performs well under pressure with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proactive self-starter, no task is too big or too small

Responsibilities

  • Perform payroll and benefits administration
  • Perform monthly credit card reconciliations
  • Perform daily petty cash reimbursements
  • Perform monthly petty cash account reconciliations
  • Perform monthly accounts receivable test work
  • Track credit card receipts
  • Track daily credit card spend and cash availability
  • Supporting the Head of Finance by planning and executing special projects
  • Participating in cross-departmental projects, providing support to the administrative and legal teams, as needed
  • Research-based projects
