About This Role Arch's summer internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides a learning experience that serves as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field. The program is designed with the following objectives: Provide challenging work that benefits both the intern and Arch. Develop interns through learning activities and ongoing feedback. Identify talented individuals for full-time opportunities.

Requirements

  • Actively completing a bachelor's or graduate degree in Risk Management, Finance or related program. Preferably a combination in Finance and Risk Management.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • College level - Junior, Senior with graduation dates between December 2026 and May 2027.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
  • Team player who collaborates effectively.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal candidates will have an academic background in Risk Management with a basic understanding of Finance/ Financial Statement Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to assess financial health and evaluate credit risk, including collateral types and resources.
  • Gain insight into the underwriting process for Primary Loss Sensitive Casualty programs.
  • Explore how Credit Analysis interacts with underwriters and external clients.
  • Observe collateral adjustments and the long-tail nature of Loss Sensitive Casualty insurance.
  • Collaborate with underwriting teams to gather financial data.
  • Maintain and generate work pipeline and ad-hoc reports.
