LIONS is part of Informa Festivals, a division with the Informa group. Informa is an international business that champions specialists, connecting people with knowledge to help them learn more, know more and do more through live and on-demand events, digital and data-driven services and academic research. This role is based in our New York office. The ideal candidate will be fully qualified with the ability to self-review with a thorough attention to detail, have intermediate Excel skills, and a solid understanding of debits and credits, experience of both using/posting journals, and analyzing + manipulating data. Experience within a fast-paced environment is a plus, as this role requires someone with the right mindset who wants to learn and grow with the role. The position reports into the CFO of the Marketing Vertical and will primarily focus on our growth within America (Effie, CMI, and IMI).

Requirements

  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience in management accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Proven experience in fast-paced environments, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and simplify large datasets.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform thorough self-reviews.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Oracle, Salesforce, HFM, and Hyperion is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the internal team and external outsourced team in India to meet tight month-end deadlines
  • Business partnering with budget holders and assisting with cost control, forecasting, and annual budgets
  • Analysis and reporting on costs, depreciation, expenses, and analysis on accounts
  • Streamlining and improving processes across the Marketing division
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow responsibility
  • Preparation of management commentary, including Board Reporting packs
  • Preparation of monthly sales commission and business partnering with the Commercial Lead to help improve the incentive scheme and reporting
  • Capex project reporting
  • Assisting with annual reporting and liaising with auditors
  • Support preparation of cash flow reporting
  • Support to Divisions Risk & Controls framework.
  • Analyze and report on key risks & mitigations and develop/implement the organization's compliance and control framework
  • Ensure completion of control attestations on behalf of Marketing
  • Complete Marketing monthly balance sheet reporting with a specific focus on working capital performance, ensuring identification of risks and opportunities.
