About The Position

The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) is home to nationally recognized programs focused on health and wellness ― and a respected faculty dedicated to teaching innovations and research partnerships. The college offers accredited programs in athletic training, communication sciences and disorders, physical therapy, and social work. CHPS also offers one of UCF’s largest majors, health sciences, as well as popular programs in sport and exercise science within the field of kinesiology. Through coursework, field experience, and interprofessional education, our students develop high-demand skills in healthcare and community based initiatives for working with varied populations. The CHPS Finance Business Center is currently accepting applications for a Finance/Budget Analyst II. This role will review, approve and process financial transactions to ensure compliance with UCF fiscal policy. The position will also prepare statements and reports relating to an assigned area of responsibility, monitor records of past and present operations, and apply university accounting policies and procedures in working with accounting records and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
  • Applicant must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer, as sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in higher education or public sector finance.
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar financial systems.
  • Experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, or a related field.
  • Skilled in using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and charts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of financial clinical operations at PT Clinic and CSD clinic, such as cash deposit reconciliation, card statement approval, clinical compliance, and ensuring cost are accurate and reportable.
  • Create and deliver monthly faculty reports showing their funding and budgets in the to each faculty member in their assigned cost center.
  • Monitor budgetary variances and make corrections as appropriate.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy of transactions.
  • Prepare costing allocations for payroll funding and corrections to payroll funding.
  • Identify appropriate funding sources for various HR transactions.
  • Approve, deny, or return Workday spend transactions.
  • Ensure compliance on all financial transactions or related financial transactions in the accounting system to the assigned departments.
