About The Position

We are looking for a Finance Associate to join our Finance team with ICS. This role will be essential to handling invoices and reconciling accounts for our captive clients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 0-3 years of accounting experience with preference for insurance experience.
  • Financial Knowledge, Principles, & Practice: Invests in the development of financial knowledge and applies relevant financial principles and practices throughout daily responsibilities to deliver quality work and accurate outcomes.
  • Relationship Management: Actively fosters relationships by seeking to understand appropriate parties, prioritizing problem solving, and collaborating to deliver unique and impactful solutions.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to identify an opportunity and/or root cause, apply logical reasoning to analyze the facts, and develop and execute an effective outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue internal ICS invoices to clients, including consulting, commission, custody, letter of credit, and reinsurance fees
  • Validate and review monthly loss data for group captive programs
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Monitor captive cash balances and assist with surplus cash allocation
  • Record daily journal entries related to captive financial activity
  • Review and process captive assessment invoices
  • File and maintain supporting documentation for deposits received by ICS and employee benefit captives
  • Assist with assembling finance materials for board books and reporting packages
  • Help document and update procedures related to assigned financial processes
  • Collaborate professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders and support special projects as assigned
