About The Position

The Finance Associate will play a key role in supporting Core Spaces’ Finance functions. This individual will primarily partner with Accounting, FP&A, and People Operations teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting and provide actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 4–5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in real estate
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear recommendations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and process improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Yardi, and financial reporting tools
  • Proficiency working with payroll systems (Paycom)
  • Hands-on experience with Pigment, Anaplan, Hyperion, or Adaptive Insights for complex forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Experience building dashboards that translate complex financial data into clear visuals for leadership.
  • Experience with self-funded insurance plans

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support leadership decision-making, focusing on payroll-related budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning.
  • Develop and maintain advanced workforce and compensation models (headcount, attrition, merit, bonuses, benefits, taxes).
  • Analyze payroll expenses, headcount trends, and compensation costs. Support compensation planning and scenario analysis through preparation and presentation of compensation related analytics to company leadership.
  • Partner with People Operations, Property Operations, FP&A and Accounting to track actual payroll results vs. budget/forecast and explain variances at corporate and site-level.
  • Prepare commissions calculations for sales teams based on employee contracts and raised capital. Coordinate review and sign-off of calculations and work with brokers on payouts.
  • Partner with People Operations and Corporate FP&A to budget for self-funded insurance plans. Prepare and manage accounting for self-insured medical benefit plan including coordinating with People Operations and Accounting teams. Own intercompany process to ensure correct entities are billed for benefits based on allocation policy. Assist management in annual review of allocation process for benefits plan.
  • Reconcile financial figures in Yardi, partnering with Accounting and Payroll during month-end close to ensure accuracy and proper accruals. Support audit and compliance requests related to payroll financials.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analyses and leadership requests
  • Occasional travel may be necessary as needed
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management
