About The Position

The Finance Associate will support compensation planning, headcount reporting, workforce analytics, and broader FP&A activities within PIMCO’s Finance function. The role provides highvisibility support to senior leadership and the Executive Office through accurate budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and insights that drive timely and informed decisionmaking. Working with sensitive compensation and workforce data, the Finance Associate will ensure accuracy, strengthen planning processes, enhance reporting quality, and contribute to continuous process and systems improvement. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fastpaced environment with frequent adhoc requests, enjoys working with data, and brings strong analytical and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of FP&A, HR Finance, or Compensation Analytics experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, advanced formulas; modelling).
  • Handson experience with Oracle EPM Cloud Planning strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to (HCM or workforce data structures).
  • Proven ability to handle highly confidential compensation data with discretion and judgement.
  • Strong analytical capability, including financial modelling, scenario analysis, and problemsolving.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to distil complex data into clear insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, curiosity, and solutionoriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in large, matrixed organisations preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Alteryx, Python, Power BI or other automation/analytics tools beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile compensation, headcount, and workforce data within Oracle EPM Cloud Planning.
  • Support monthly/quarterly compensation planning cycles, including accrual preparation, forecast updates, and scenario modelling.
  • Assist with implementation, maintenance, and user support of PIMCO’s workforce planning and reporting systems.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting, longrange planning, and rolling forecasts for compensation and headcount.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting, variance analysis, and commentary for senior stakeholders, including the Executive Office.
  • Build and update benchmarking and profitability reporting to support strategic decisionmaking.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of workforce and financial data across Oracle, , and ERP systems.
  • Document, maintain, and improve reporting processes, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to automate recurring reporting using Excel, Alteryx, Python, or other tools.
  • Deliver highvolume adhoc analysis under tight deadlines, with frequent context switching.
  • Support crossfunctional initiatives across HR, Finance, Talent, and business teams.
  • Participate in strategic workforce, compensation, and processenhancement projects as needed.
