About The Position

Public Knowledge® (PK) is seeking a Finance Assistant based in Lakewood, NJ. This is a full-time, in-office position that will play a key role in ensuring that we properly run the core accounting and corporate finance function. This position may also be needed to support GLI Capital Group, which is the owner of PK. Requirements

  • 2+ years of administrative experience; prior experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel and Word are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency for solving problems and getting the work done in the most efficient manner
  • Must have demonstrated professionalism, including while working under pressure and with highly confidential information.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines, while maintaining a realistic balance among priorities.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in good English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience running payroll is preferred
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform all financial administrative tasks regarding payment of invoices and payments by clients.
  • Process payroll in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial information and prepare financial statements.
  • Maintain relationships with banks and other fiscal offices.
  • Prepare accounts for audit and work with the auditing companies.
  • Preparation of annual reports for our annual audits done by our accountants.
  • Provide support and assistance during external audits.
  • Enter certification charges to be invoiced monthly into the accounting system.
  • Enter re-billable expenses (such as courier and/or internet charges) to be invoiced monthly into the accounting system.
  • Prepare outgoing mail for monthly invoices
  • Other duties as assigned.
