About The Position

Overview Location: Long Prairie, MN Internship Dates: Full Time for approximately 12 weeks (May - August) As a Finance and Accounting Intern , you will: Gain knowledge and understanding of the business through hands on activities, coaching, and projects. A few learning opportunities include: Assist in reconciling bank statements, general ledgers, and sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy. Basics of daily cash management. Support the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts under supervision. Help track cash inflows and outflows, assisting with liquidity management in treasury functions. Assist in gathering data for budget preparation and variance analysis. Help ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Gain and understanding of management reporting and assist in the creation of reporting. Conduct basic financial analysis, such as trend analysis or cost-benefit evaluations, as directed. Requirements

  • Must have completed your Junior year at a credited College or University in a Finance or Accounting program.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Have the desire and ability to work well both independently and cross functionally.
  • Are willing to engage others through strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Are an inquisitive individual that has a desire to gain knowledge through experience.
  • Ability to perform all duties required in both office and manufacturing environments wearing proper PPE.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from working location.
