About The Position

Finance & Accounting Manager - Fountain Valley, CA Twining Holdings, LLC, an innovative full-service engineering Company with unmatched expertise in material testing, inspection, applied engineering, and integrated disciplines with over 125 years of history, is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager for our office in Fountain Valley, CA. This role is a key business partner responsible for driving financial performance, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making within the Company. This role oversees the full accounting cycle, including financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls, ensuring alignment with corporate goals. This position will manage 4 direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 6-8 Years of progressive project finance/FP&A/accounting experience, ideally within a multi-division or multi-location environment.
  • 2-3 years of staff management experience.
  • Strong financial analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, Financial reporting, Closing process, and internal controls.
  • Exhibits an advanced ability to analyze problems, apply critical thinking skills, and develop strategies to solve them.
  • Exceptional communication, business acumen, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
  • Demonstrated ability utilizing data-driven decision-making.
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to simplify complex financial information for non-financial audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant advanced certifications.
  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
  • Experience in Deltek Vision/ Vantagepoint is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, GAAP, and internal controls.
  • Partner with the corporate accounting and AR/AP teams during financial close.
  • Influence compliance of matching principal of revenue and expense recognition.
  • Work closely with Company leadership, operations, and sales teams to guide financial performance.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Support cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze KPIs, trends, cost drivers, and operational metrics like gross profit margins to support decision-making.
  • Monitor efficiency, productivity, and profitability across divisional business units.
  • Drive margin improvement and cost‑optimization initiatives.
  • Support FP&A Lead in the Company’s annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Provide detailed variance analyses (actual vs. budget/forecast) with actionable insights.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and process excellence.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate and work as part of a team while bringing positive influence as a leader.
  • Manage deliverables and associated priorities to improve efficiency of the team and meet the established deadlines.
