About The Position

AITX Repair Services is currently seeking candidates to fill our open Final Assembler positions.

Final Assemblers

Perform work to attach safety equipment after blasting and painting and to place road numbers and letters or final numbers and letters on the railcar.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write English at a high school level
• Ability to work in the heat and cold and in all-weather conditions
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and on top of and under railcars, as well as around railroad tracks.
• Knowledge of machines and tools required to paint and finish rail and tank cars
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen and respiratory mask fit test

Responsibilities

• Interpret job work orders to perform required tasks
• Coordinate and complete tasks in an efficient manner and within assigned hours
• Follow all safety rules, keep work area clean and comply with all AITX EHS Policies
• Ensure AAR, ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met
