The Mission of The Hills Church is to make and grow followers of Jesus. We do this together by being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did. The purpose of the Film Director is to produce and edit films that serve the mission of The Hills Church. Overall Responsibilities: Direct and produce video projects on campus and on location, from concept through final delivery. Partner closely with the Creative Arts Senior Minister, Creative Director, and ministry teams throughout pre-production, production, and post-production. Edit and finish high-quality video content using professional tools, including color correction, audio enhancement, and motion or graphic elements. Operate cameras and capture compelling footage for films, worship services, and key church events. Apply strong technical judgment to composition, lighting, and audio, including equipment setup and calibration. Manage production timelines, resources, and deliverables across multiple projects. Ensure all video content aligns with The Hills’ brand, voice, and creative standards. Lead crews and volunteers with clarity, humility, and excellence, fostering a collaborative and servant-hearted environment. Recruit, train, and develop volunteers in both technical skill and spiritual growth. Remain open to feedback and collaboration, refining work in service of the broader creative vision and ministry goals. Stay current on filmmaking trends, tools, and platforms relevant to church and digital ministry.
