About The Position

The Creative Arts Production Manager is responsible for the proper execution of Sunday services and major events. This leader will be responsible for all production systems and will closely partner with the Creative Arts Pastor, and the Modern and Traditional Worship Pastors to create high-quality, consistent, and worshipful services. This role oversees all aspects (scheduling, programming, staff, contract, volunteer) involved in production. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about using creativity and excellence to serve the church. The Creative Arts Production Manager will have a shepherd’s heart, live-production expertise, a commitment to learn while seeking to improve, and a calling to lead their team to do the same. This role requires experience in and appreciation for traditional and modern worship styles.

Requirements

• Actively following Jesus, being changed by Jesus, and committed to the mission of Jesus.
• Subscribe to and affirm the Statement of Faith and Covenant of Wooddale Church.
• Be a regular participant in public worship at Wooddale Church.
• Become or remain a member in good standing of Wooddale Church.
• Gifted in organizational leadership and management of projects and teams.
• Effective and direct communicator.
• Flexible and adaptable, ability to troubleshoot and think out of the box.
• Bachelor’s degree or technical certification in relevant field.
• Professional level ability and knowledge of production equipment and operation for both modern and traditional styles of worship.
• 3-5 years of experience coordinating run-of-show for live productions.

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years of direct management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set an example of living a personal life of worship and prayer and being sensitive to the Spirit’s leading for production while staying rooted in the Word
• This is a high-responsibility, high-impact role. As a leader, it is essential to proactively invest in continual personal growth, self-awareness, integrity and guard against personal vulnerabilities
• Coordinate the preparation of weekly worship services including: service flows, timing, stage transitions, personnel needed and communication to teams.
• Provide direct oversight to the Production teams (Audio, Video, Lighting contractors and volunteers) in partnership with the Technical Director and Creative Arts Pastor.
• Produce weekend services, calling cues and oversight to all live production service elements.
• Provide support and oversight to all external events in our large event rooms including providing audio, video and lighting support as requested.
• Maintain data and engagement of all volunteers and contractors in our data base system.
• Provide leadership to production teams at the Eden Prairie (broadcast) campus, including broadcasting, lighting, audio, and stage manager teams for Sunday morning services and major events.
• Develop and maintain a healthy, positive, proactive environment among Production staff and volunteers, including developing and helping them to become disciples who make disciples.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop volunteer leaders and Production staff.
• Ensure all Production teams perform at a standard of excellence in partnership with the Worship Pastor/Directors, Creative Arts Pastor, and Senior Pastor to execute the vision for each weekend service.
• Create an intentional and missional environment for the Worship Center(s), online services, broadcasting, video, lighting, sound, and stage design to invite our congregation to worship the Lord fully and grow in knowledge and understanding of their faith.
