Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure machine is set up correctly for product being run
  • Ensure fruit level in filler is maintained; maintain an adequate amount of syrup in drum to provide a cushion
  • Set up scale (tare); ensure proper weight / cherry count in jars through visual computer display screen (trend data); accurately complete required paperwork
  • Ensure proper syrup level in each jar
  • Listen for unusual sounds (glass breaking, abnormal machine sounds, etc.)
  • Adjust air flow as needed
  • Adjust filler drum and jar shaker speed
  • Continuously watch for broken, chipped, or cracked glass and stop line IMMEDIATELY if found until determination
  • Pull off defective glass (bubbles, bb’s, etc.) and save for Quality Control
  • Perform a “dump” as required: remove pin, pull covers, remove plug; clean filler out completely, ensuring all fruit and syrup is removed; work with Line Attendant to reassemble filler; resume operation
  • Adjust rails, rope belt speed, and air nozzle as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
