About The Position

PURPOSE Responsible for ensuring accurate pricing, itemization, tagging, signage, and documentation of UPC and PLU information for all store merchandise. Operates computer systems to maintain pricing records, researches pricing discrepancies, and reports issues for resolution to support pricing accuracy and compliance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Promotes a positive customer experience by maintaining a high level of customer awareness and delivering fast, friendly service. Serves as the primary resource for store‑wide pricing accuracy and pricing documentation. Posts and maintains all signage and tags for advertised specials and price changes. Completes and maintains resets, new item placements, subscription selections, and tag replacements as needed. Organizes price changes by department and aisle; sorts and accurately hangs signs and tags throughout the store. Conducts scan audits to verify correct tag placement and pricing accuracy; replaces missing or damaged tags. Researches pricing discrepancies and reports issues for correction. Manages in‑store markdown links in accordance with Division policy. Verifies the accuracy of all tags and signage; researches, reports, and corrects any questionable items. Monitors not‑on‑file items and reports findings to Division Backstage. Ensures pricing integrity throughout the store, including proper placement of price accuracy guarantee signage on shelves and front‑end areas. Maintains tag subscriptions, Just for U batches, and all other pricing batches. Demonstrates knowledge of proper stocking procedures and store layout. Adheres to department standards, policies, and operational requirements. Trains associates on store policies, pricing procedures, sales, and record‑keeping practices. Identifies and develops associates with potential for advancement. Maintains working knowledge of company policies and guidelines as outlined in the Albertsons / Tom Thumb Employee Handbook. Ensures compliance with retail labeling laws, federal and state regulations, company policies, and code‑dating requirements. Follows all workplace safety rules and regulations. Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary work area and equipment. Implements emergency procedures in cases of equipment or computer system issues. Operates computer systems, software applications, and electronic scanning devices. Complies with company grooming standards and dress code expectations. Performs all duties safely, accurately, and with honesty and integrity. Completes other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor with customers and coworkers.
  • Frequently reaches, lifts, and maneuvers items weighing up to approximately 60 pounds.
  • Regularly bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, and pulls hand trucks and pallet jacks.
  • Performs repetitive arm movements when posting signs and tags.
  • Requires manual dexterity, strong hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Demonstrates mental alertness to ensure safe and accurate completion of work.
  • Possesses basic math skills and knowledge of weights and measures.
  • Maintains knowledge of product variety, handling, sanitation, labeling, perishability, and departmental procedures.
  • Operates telephones, computers, scanners, printers, safety cutters, and cleaning equipment.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays; schedules may vary and reliable attendance is required.
  • Exposure to potential hazards related to equipment and work tools may be present.
