About The Position

OVERVIEW: The primary purpose of the FWPO III is to ensure that all processes are maintained per the standards while winding a mandrel. This area of work is the most crucial in terms of the critical process requirements, overall quality of the module and total output of the production process. As a member of the RS team, this position will support an organizational culture that cares for other's well-being through best practices in Health and Safety, in addition to the company's values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork and professional growth.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills an asset
Strong communication and teamwork skills required

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of 5S Principles preferred

Responsibilities

Complete knowledge of the wet-out box operations as per operational work instruction
The ability to assist in trouble shooting the Filament Winding Process
Perform a wet-out box, front bar assembly and rear roving comb change once a week or as needed
Perform Wet-Out box "stringing" of roving's
Perform tension tests after every wet-out box change
Responsible for cleaning, care and maintaining the winding room tools and equipment throughout the shift
Responsible for Winding-Room cleanliness and to maintain a Safe and Clean work environment.
Inspect and evaluate all modules during a wind cycle to ensure quality and process standards are being met and any manufacturing defects are responded to
Ensure the winding room is production ready for the next shift
Assist Quality Assurance by providing required Cup Tests at the beginning of each shift.
Adhere to all QC Alerts, changes to the process and their issues
Adhere to all Safety procedures and PPE requirements
Report all equipment related issues to the Production Supervisor
Ensure proper inventory of materials to perform the job
Assist the Engineering Department in the research, trial/development, selection of new processes and equipment to improve the production process
Assist in training and cross training of production team members
Participate in continuous improvement activities
Comply with all Company Safety rules, Provincial and Federal Rules and Regulations
All other duties as assigned including to be Cross Trained in other Production related positions
