MTSI is seeking Fighter Planning SME to support the USAF Warfare Center team at Nellis AFB. Candidate will be responsible for work in a multitasking, quick-paced, dynamic environment supporting USAF Warfare Center Large Force Exercises, Operational Test and Tactics Development. Candidate will support planning and execution of Chairman, Joint Chief of Staff (CJCS), Combatant Command (COCOM), and Major Command (MAJCOM)-level exercises and events. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Candidate will be responsible for providing coordination, execution, management, risk factor identification and mitigation for exercises/demonstrations/experiments on behalf of the USAFWC. Candidate will support planning and execution of Chairman, Joint Chief of Staff (CJCS) and Combatant Command (COCOM)-level exercises. Candidate will provide expertise in fighter aircraft systems (F-22, F-35, F-16, F-15), operations, academics and exercise/experiment coordination and facilitation. Candidate will assist in the development of exercise tasks to include concept development, scenario development, main exercise objectives, joint exercise control group operations, overall execution management, and after-action review. Candidate will advise and assist operational and strategic planners in the development of current and future contingency plans and assist in the development of contingency requirements based on current operations. Candidate will provide advice, recommendations, and briefings to staff principals, agency chiefs, and external organizations on OPLAN or exercise design activities. Candidate may assist, as required, in the conduct of theater level STRAT/TET/MAAP processes resulting in the development of on the shelf Air Tasking Orders and/or Air Battle Plans for contingency and deliberate planning efforts. Candidate will coordinate with HHQ and other commands to develop and manage long-range exercise schedules with ACC, USAFWC, and supported staffs. Candidate should be familiar with exercise policies, practices, and procedures, as well as have experience with exercise interpretation/analysis and translation into operational recommendations. The successful candidate will facilitate coordination and exercise planning and control with appropriate USAFWC and all external and partner agencies to include Department of Energy, National Reconnaissance Office and the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). Candidate should have extensive current knowledge of NTTR threat, surrogate, and command and control capabilities. Candidate will participate in range infrastructure working groups, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings, resulting in the definition of requirements and CONOPS. The candidate will also participate in surveys/visits with exercise participants and infrastructure owners to identify infrastructure shortfalls and required workarounds. Candidate will provide results and lessons learned briefings to exercise participants at an instructional level. In addition, the candidate will assist in developing and publishing formal exercise after-action reports in coordination with the supported mission partner. Candidate will serve as subject matter expert for the respective exercises with military service component and joint partners for assigned exercises. Candidate will remain abreast of the latest in joint tactics, techniques, procedures and emerging technology, to include US strategies and tactics to address the current and future threat. Candidate will collaborate with and lead multidisciplinary teams of industry, government and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, scientists, and operational participants. Candidate may also be tasked to advise and assist on additional USAFWC initiatives.
