About The Position

St. Joseph Catholic School is a diocesan school in the Catholic School System, Diocese of St. Petersburg, located in West Tampa. The school is seeking a Full Time Fifth Grade Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, with a start date of August 1, 2026. St. Joseph Catholic School aims to provide a faith-filled education to lead students to their goals of College and Heaven. The school currently enrolls 280 students in grades PK through eighth grade.

Requirements

• Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to providing a Catholic education of the highest quality
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Ability to lead the school into the future
• Possess (or be eligible to receive) a State of Florida teaching certificate, including required coursework in Elementary Education
• Have three years of experience teaching
• Pass Level II Fingerprinting
• Complete Safe Environment training and all necessary training per DOSP requirements
