About The Position

St. Joseph Catholic School is a diocesan school in the Catholic School System, Diocese of St. Petersburg. The school is seeking a Full Time 5th and 6th Grade Language Arts Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, with a start date of August 1, 2026. St. Joseph Catholic School is a beacon of Catholic education in West Tampa, providing a faith-filled education to lead students to their goals of College and Heaven by doing the right thing at the right time for the love of God. Currently, the school enrolls 280 students in grades PK through eighth grade.

Requirements

• Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to providing a Catholic education of the highest quality, ensuring that St. Joseph students continue to be on the path to College and Heaven
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Ability to lead the school into the future
• Possess (or be eligible to receive) a State of Florida teaching certificate, including required coursework in Elementary Education or English
• Have three years of experience teaching
• Pass Level II Fingerprinting
• Complete Safe Environment training and all necessary training per DOSP requirements
