About The Position

The Fieldwork Coordinator is a full-time professional staff member responsible for coordinating clinical field experiences (Practicum and Internship) for all students in the Counseling Program (all concentrations and modalities). The position focuses on developing and maintaining community partnerships, overseeing placement processes, ensuring compliance with state licensure and CACREP standards, and supporting students, faculty, and site supervisors throughout the fieldwork experience. Provide foundational academic advising support, including assisting students with course planning and the development and maintenance of Plans of Study (POS). This position fulfills CACREP 2024 requirements, designating an individual to coordinate practicum and internship activities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois (or reciprocal state), or equivalent credential.
  • Experience with supervision, clinical training, or field placement coordination.
  • Knowledge of state licensure regulations and CACREP accreditation standards related to practicum and internship.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and database management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, clinical supervisors, and community partners.
  • Experience with online education platforms (e.g., Canvas), data management systems, and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom).
