Reporting to the Manager of Practicum Coordination, we are hiring a Practicum Coordinator to join us for a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension. As our new Practicum Coordinator, you will assist students enrolled in practicum placements as part of the field training component of our Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program, providing placement support. You will liaise between students and the Field Training department, collaborate with faculty and students, and ensure a meaningful and effective practicum and classroom experience. This is an existing vacancy covering a maternity leave, working remotely within Canada in the Eastern time zone.

Requirements

  • You have a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • You have professional experience in a related field.
  • You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and can effectively manage large volumes of confidential paperwork.
  • You can build trusting and influential relationships with students, faculty, and practicum site supervisors across Canada.
  • You have strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills and can navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
  • You are comfortable engaging in high-level communications, whether supporting graduate students or collaborating with university staff and faculty.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and data management.
  • You can quickly learn other software programs used in online learning.
  • You think on your feet and can adapt to evolving challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are a proactive problem solver, able to identify and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a student-focused approach.
  • You thrive in a team-oriented environment where communication and collaboration happen throughout the day.
  • You actively contribute to a supportive and connected team culture, ensuring smooth coordination across all practicum-related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support practicum students.

  • Manage documentation.
  • Respond to student issues.
