About The Position

As a trainer, you’re passionate about delivering differentiated instruction in exciting ways. You know that learning styles vary, and you thrive in helping people grasp new information. Bring your passion for delivering an array of training programs to the Navy client. As a trainer on our team, you’ll provide in-person instruction. You’ll showcase your technical expertise and industry knowledge and collaborate to devise creative solutions for mission-critical problems. In this role, you’ll be armed with the resources you need to excel. You'll assist with the development and execution of acquisition documentation for the phased rollout of the client's programs.

Requirements

  • Experience as a MK-25 closed circuit rebreather technician
  • Experience with underwater breathing apparatus systems, including the Dräger MK-25
  • Experience with verbal and physical instruction and curriculum development
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a military diver or with special operations diving communities
  • Experience with Navy logistics and fielding procedures
  • Experience collaborating with manufacturers and program offices to integrate new systems
  • Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including logistics officers, maintenance teams, and manufacturer representatives, to ensure timely delivery and operational readiness.
  • Conduct Limited Technical Inspections (LTIs) in collaboration with the program office and gaining units during equipment fielding.
  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive train-the-trainer programs for gaining unit personnel, covering system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust instructional methodologies to meet operational requirements.
  • Provide oversight for the certification of trainers at gaining units to ensure they can independently train their personnel.
  • Develop detailed training curriculums tailored to operational and maintenance requirements of the Dräger LAR 8000 UBA.
  • Author and review technical manuals, including operator guides, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting procedures, ensuring compliance with Navy standards.
  • Collaborate with technical writers, engineers, and subject matter experts to refine documentation and training materials.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the Navy Program Office, gaining units, and manufacturer representatives to resolve technical and logistical challenges.
  • Liaise with Commanding Officers of gaining units to ensure alignment of training schedules and operational needs.
  • Provide regular progress reports and feedback to the Program Manager on fielding and training milestones.
  • Establish long-term maintenance procedures and schedules in coordination with gaining units and program office personnel.
  • Monitor fielded units’ performance and provide recommendations for improvements or updates.
  • Support the evaluation of post-fielding operational use to identify areas for improvement in future fielding phases.
