About The Position

As a Field Warranty Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality and performance of Explore Industries fiberglass swimming pools. This primarily road-based position combines hands-on repair work at customer homes and dealer sites with occasional in-house support at our ExploreBase facility in New Braunfels, delivering professional repairs on the road that keep pools looking and performing like new.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with fiberglass, resin, catalyst, gelcoat, or similar materials (e.g., auto body repair, boat repair, drywall/sheetrock finishing).
  • Proven ability to adapt materials and techniques to varying weather/climatic conditions.
  • Experience in a physical, hands-on trade environment with strict quality and safety standards.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills with a quality-first mindset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering flawless repairs.
  • Ability to work independently on the road while maintaining clear communication with the team.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, use hand/power tools, and work in outdoor conditions year-round.
  • Customer-focused attitude with professional communication skills for interacting with dealers and homeowners.
  • Flexibility and reliability for travel with possible overnight and weekend work as needed.
  • Willingness to learn Explore Industries-specific repair techniques and cross-train within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform expert fiberglass swimming pool repairs on-site, including gelcoat resurfacing, sanding, grinding, structural fixes, and application of resin, fiberglass, catalyst, and related materials.
  • Complete repairs on installed pools at customer homes or dealer locations, as well as occasional in-house repairs on stored units.
  • Assess pool construction, installation quality, and damage to determine the best repair approach.
  • Adjust techniques and materials based on changing climatic conditions to ensure high-quality, durable results.
  • Drain, brace, and prepare pools as needed for safe and effective repairs.
  • Coordinate supply orders and pick-ups from regional manufacturing/distribution centers.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe mobile work environment.
  • Schedule and coordinate repair visits directly with dealers and homeowners.
  • Travel is required.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance repair efficiency and customer experience.
