About The Position

As a Field Testing Specialist for Corteva Agriscience , you will have the opportunity to gain diverse experience with the foundations of leadership in agricultural research. This position is ideal for individuals whose passions have drawn them to pursue a role participating in a high-quality data collection team and who have an interest in creating digital platforms designed to aid in field execution. This role will focus on pioneering execution within the modern plant science industry. This role focuses on ensuring all reporting functions have the support they need to execute varying research activities. Our activities occur in the field, warehouse, labs, greenhouses, shade houses, processing facilities, and office. This position will support our Field Science and Digital program on behalf of Seed Product Development (SPD). This role will support all other Field Testing Specialist in Woodland CA as time allows. This role will be responsible for the supervision of contract-hired teams. Please note: there is no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance provided for this role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an associated field.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in an applicable role preferred

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Python, R, PowerFX and/or any programming language preferred
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
• Some programming experience preferred
• Part 107 Certification and/or previous UAS/Drone experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage seasonal labor on-site daily
• Use technology, including iPads, and various software tools to collect, evaluate, and distribute data following detailed protocols.
• Lead assigned projects and coordinate experiment execution with their supporting project
• Organize and supervise the work of all operations contractors.
• Maintain or improve efficient daily workplace operations
• Assist in the collection and analysis of data
• Lead maintenance and creation of our on-site management systems in Microsoft Business Intelligence systems: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Excel
• Support site safety culture and ensure adherence to safety standards
• Execute data quality checks on all data collected and processed
• Support Field Testing Supervisor with any fluctuating workload throughout the season
