No prior experience is required — we provide paid training and industry-recognized certifications. If you’re dependable, enjoy working outdoors, and want a stable career with purpose, this could be a great fit. These are full time Monday-Friday positions, with occasional overtime and weekend work. No experience? No problem. We provide paid training with an instructor. Position Overview As a Leak Survey Technician, you play a vital role in protecting life, property, and the environment. You will inspect natural gas systems, detect potential leaks using advanced equipment, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Your work directly supports public safety and environmental protection in the communities we serve. Your daily work helps prevent hazardous situations and ensures regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for individuals who prefer being active rather than sitting behind a desk. You will use industry-leading gas detection technology to identify potential leaks. Heath provides comprehensive paid training and certifications to ensure you are fully prepared and confident in the field. No industry experience is necessary — we value work ethic, dependability, and a safety-first mindset. At Heath, we support our team members who are on the move! Employees in this role are enrolled in Heath's Personal Vehicle (POV) Program, which provides meaningful financial support for local travel: $800 monthly vehicle allowance $300 monthly fuel card To take advantage of this program, employees will need to meet a few standard qualifications: Active auto insurance (minimum 100/300/100 coverage or $300,000 CSL) Proof of insurance provided at renewal A vehicle that meets Heath's standards — 4-door, backup camera, hands-free capability, and professional appearance Many of our technicians advance into senior technician, field leadership, and safety management roles. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check
The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain, to bend and stoop, and to lift heavy items is essential
Ability to walk 4-7 miles per day in varying types of terrain in all types of weather
Strong reliability and accountability
Ability to use Simple Hand Tools
Work well within a group as well as individually
Ability to use and understand utility maps
Proficient at using technology (smartphone, tablet)
