Field Technician, Leak Survey Tech 2

About The Position

Since 1933 Heath Consultants Incorporated has led the industry in the safety of natural gas utilities infrastructure through the innovative and conscientious actions of our employees. Advanced leak investigator will be required to complete advanced leak investigations based on leak indications from the Advanced Mobile Leak Detection (AMLD) equipment, within our vehicle mounted Discover units. They will be classifying and mapping leaks so that the customers can take the required actions to keep our communities safe. These Investigators will be using the top-of-the-line equipment, such as the DP-IR + and the RMLD CS. The Investigators will be required to communicate in a professional manner with the clients and management. The Investigators will also be required to communicate with the public and explain what their purpose is. These investigators will be required to travel at least 80% of the time. This travel will be at the needs of the company. Our “mobile office” approach to work means that you will never have the same day twice. Our technicians work from a vehicle to get to the daily assigned map areas. The position requires you to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and the use company provided equipment to complete all work. These are daytime, full-time positions and some overtime may be required as well as after hours, on call shifts.. Instructor led training will be provided, no prior survey experience is required.

Requirements

  • Must have gas industry experience.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions; outdoor experience preferred.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be computer proficient.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends (as needed).
  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • Must pass drug screen, and background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Leak Survey and/or Locate experience is strongly recommended.
