About The Position

Under the direction of the Operations Support Manager, the Field Technician II will support Offices Under the President (OUP), and is responsible for managing multiple projects and tasks while providing installation, configuration, troubleshooting, hardware repair, and deployment of end-user hardware and software. Assumes primary responsibility for multiple tasks and projects with a heavy emphasis on a culture that thrives on team collaboration. Travels to Cook County locations within Chicago and outlying suburbs to lead and provide onsite troubleshooting, deployments, and repairs. Leads deployment and troubleshooting projects, perform problem identification and root cause identification, and monitor the situation while advising departmental liaisons with next steps in the process. Performs other related assignments and duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Possession of a High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate with six (6) years of work experience as a Field Technician is required.
  • Experience as an administrator of Microsoft 0365 Suite and Windows 10 platform is required.
  • Experience utilizing Active Directory is required.
  • One (1) year of experience utilizing ITSM/incident management tools such as Cherwell, ServiceNow, Jira, or ZenDesk is required.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree with four (4) years of work experience as a Field Technician is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of work experience as a Field Technician is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess one of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCP, or Google IT Support Professional is preferred.
  • Experience utilizing remote troubleshooting tools such as LogMein, Bomgar, and Team Viewer is preferred.
