Ready to shape the future of resilient communities? Verdantas is seeking a Field Technician to join our team in the Irvine, CA location. This role supports a variety of environmental and engineering projects through hands-on fieldwork, data collection, and technical support alongside experienced professionals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or technical training preferred)
  • 0–2 years of relevant field, construction, environmental, or hands‑on experience
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability

Responsibilities

  • Perform field investigations, inspections, and testing in support of projects
  • Collect environmental and geotechnical samples (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, vapor, etc.)
  • Operate and maintain field equipment (sampling pumps, gauges, GPS, data loggers, monitoring instruments)
  • Complete field documentation such as field notes, inspection logs, job safety analyses, and chain-of-custody forms
  • Assist with data collection, interpretation, and basic reporting
  • Support quality control and quality assurance procedures
  • Work closely with engineers, scientists, and project managers
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols
