The What are we looking for? The Construction Field Testing Technician is responsible for performing a variety of construction materials testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or form detailed controlled procedures. What you’ll do: Project heavy concrete testing Operate testing equipment and conduct materials testing and provide assessment of data through reporting Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to complete work Maintain and calibrate standard equipment Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results Train other Technicians Communicate effectively with client and project teams This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. Requirements

  • Some construction experience required
  • 25% travel
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
  • Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
  • Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
  • Ability to work over night hours and off shift

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ related field and/or lab technician experience
