IS Dept. - Field Support Technician - Full-Time - 1st Shift

About The Position

This is a full-time, 1st shift position, working 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week. On-call rotation consists of one week, after departmental hours, standard rotation is 1 in 7 weeks, however, subject to change based upon department needs. This position reports to the Director of Information Systems.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
Healthcare setting, or 1-3 years in related field.
Knowledge of PC technology, network, Microsoft office, or other general use applications.
Knowledge and expertise in relevant computer systems, applications, and desktop hardware.
Strong proficiency in the skills required to support application and system enhancements or replacements.

Responsibilities

Provides hands-on, technical help for computers, software, and networks, a
Acting as the first point of contact for users experiencing issues
Fixing problems with hardware/software, setting up new tech, performing maintenance, and ensuring system security to keep an organization's technology running smoothly.
This position is responsible for customer support, system configuration and development, PC deployment, and may educate and inform staff on application functionality.
Effectively analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware/software PC issues.
Exhibits an understanding of clinical and/or business workflows and operations.
Communicates clearly and effectively with end users, peers, developers, and organizational leadership.
Applies strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to complex technical challenges.
Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams while working independently with minimal supervision.
Utilizes advanced interpersonal skills to engage with department leaders, staff, physicians, vendors, and consultants, translating technical concepts into clear, non-technical language for diverse audiences.
