About The Position

A Field Technician is responsible for assigned open tickets and work in collaboration with senior engineering staff members, Helpdesk, and logistics to resolve technical issues in a timely fashion in order to maintain maximum customer satisfaction. A Field Technician performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction. Assists Senior Network Engineer in the coordination of the activities of technical support specialists in managing workstations, network switches, routers, and servers. A Field Technician provides tier 1 and 2 helpdesk support for network and software issues to include a wide array of miscellaneous packages supporting healthcare operations. A Field Technician will be deployed to remote sites as needed to complete a project or assist in troubleshooting and repairing issues. Excellent communication skills and a strong motivation to remain knowledgeable in current technology trends are essential qualities of a qualified candidate for this position.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be proficient in the Installation, configuration and support of workstations and network devices.
  • Ability to implement and configure management & monitoring tools, as well as anti-span and content filtering solutions
  • Ability to analyze needs, derive system-level requirements, and contribute to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of computer networks and systems
  • Ability to support and deploy switches, routers, firewalls and telephony systems at the enterprise level Strong critical-thinking/problem-solving skills
  • Proven conflict management/resolution skills

  • Requires one year of experience supporting workstations and networked devices in a routed WAN/LAN environment.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Requires experience with Microsoft operating systems including Windows 11, Windows Server 2025, and other server related versions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree (not required) in computer science or related field.
