Job Purpose: Performs HVAC Installation, modification and overhaul of air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment. Mentors and assists in the coaching and development of installation team members. Essential Functions: Performs installation on all HVAC and control systems. Responsible for company work vehicle, parts inventory and equipment assigned to company work vehicle. Technician has complete responsibility for vehicle. Trains, coaches, and mentor’s installation technicians that accompany senior installers on jobs. Replace electrical components such as compressors, contactors, motor starters and relays. Diagnoses any electrical or mechanical components to which these are related. Changes out gas and oil furnaces and split air conditioning systems. Installs ductless air conditioning and heat pumps, sheet metal installation and transitions, refrigeration, condensate, and PVC venting. Procures all material in a timely manner to meet client service level agreements for scheduled completion dates. Possesses competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and housed on company vehicle. Responds immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns. Performs all work to industry standards and always maintains a professional manner and appearance. Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives as related to building operations and practices safe work habits. Maintains departmental procedures and policies to ensure smooth operations, in addition to clearly defining work procedures to produce expected results. Communicates with Installation Manager how Installation Technicians are performing, learning, developing, and progressing. Liaise with Installation/Service Manager to discuss progress and identify training and development opportunities of team members. Provides feedback on progression of members to the Install/Service Manager. Understands the company policy is to provide 100% customer satisfaction by exceeding customer expectations. Assists permit department in scheduling code violations in a timely manner. Logs violations in an effort to identify, coach and correct violation regularity. Corrects violations on site as necessary.
