The Field Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of field-testing technicians, technical and quality assurance, project management, implementation of all pertinent PSI quality assurance programs, technical training, and obtaining necessary resources to support field activities. The position requires computer literacy and basic management and financial skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid/current state driver’s license and reliable driving record
  • Certification by ACI, NICET, DOT, or other agencies, as appropriate to the testing (specifically ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Level I)
  • 5+ years of field construction materials testing experience
  • Physical ability to perform field technician duties in either a training or production mode
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Computer literate with advanced computer skills
  • Basic management and financial skills
  • Experience with a nuclear density gauge
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of field construction materials testing experience
  • ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician - Level I preferred
  • TWIC preferred

Responsibilities

  • Document and maintain training records for all field technicians
  • Document and maintain equipment calibrations and records
  • Repair concrete testing equipment
  • Train field technicians on jobsites
  • Take lead for all internal and external audits and accreditations with AASHTO, USACE, and DOTD
  • Data entry
